Rice Lake Speedway Features Wet; Double Show Next Saturday

Rice Lake WI, June 17 – Despite the best efforts of track officials to speed the program along , the rain began falling just a few laps into the first feature race of the evening and the rest of the racing action Saturday night at the Rice Lake Speedway was postponed.

This will set up a very full Saturday of action on June 24th. Not only will the five feature races from Saturday be run, they will then be followed by another complete program in all five classes. The Street Stock feature will resume with eight laps remaining at the point where the wet track triggered a multi car collision that eliminated several cars. All cars will be allowed to return to their running order position and the race will then restart with Jay Kesan leading the way.

The five delayed feature races are very important because they were the Race of Champions qualifiers with the winners earning a guaranteed starting spot in the WISSOTA Race of Champions event in Huron South Dakota in September.

Along with a multitude of racing events on Saturday, June 24th , that night will also be the bike giveaway night at the track and anyone who would like to donate a bike to be given away to a child should contact either Megan at 715-205-1101 or Crystal at 715-410-5550.

Warm ups start at 6:30 pm and racing will begin at 7 pm.
