2021 Annual Meeting Notes (Corrected 12/3)

St Cloud, MN (November 19, 2021) – For immediate release.

The WISSOTA Promoters Association Inc Annual Meeting wrapped up 2 days of deliberations among member promoters. The following car rules were passed by the promoters by a minimum of 2/3rds vote of those present. These rules are a summary. Exact wording will be in the 2022 WISSOTA Rules and Procedures.

All WISSOTA Divisions:

• Helmet update to SNELL 2015 or SFI 311 or newer.
• Top of helmet must be below the top of the halo with driver buckled in the seat.
• Highly recommend the addition of additional halo supports near the side of the drivers’ head.

WISSOTA Late Models:

• 39” Maximum rear deck height measured at the center of the back of the car.
• Forward and reverse must be operational
• Allow the re-grooving of the pre-molded cross hatch as updated in 2021
• Max engine RPM: CT525 – Max 7200 RPM | Spec. – Max 8200 RPM
• 8” Maximum rear spoiler (material) on the spec and CT525 engines

WISSOTA Modified

• 39” Maximum rear deck height measured at the center of the back of the car.
• Allow the use of the left front steel chain or tether. Must have slack at ride height.
• Allow white painted carbon fiber driver shafts. Minimum O.D. of 2.25 inches.
• Allow stock dimensional tubular/aftermarket lower a-frames.

WISSOTA Super Stocks

• 39” Maximum rear deck height measured at the center of the back of the car.
• Allow the use of the left front steel chain or tether. Must have slack at ride height.
• Ford stub chassis may use Speedway 3 piece spindle P/N34511 with a GM caliper

WISSOTA Midwest Modified

• 39” Maximum rear deck height measured at the center of the back of the car.
• Allow the use of the left front steel chain or tether. Must have slack at ride height.
• Allow the Dodge Concept Engine with specs to be printed
• Quick change rear ends are allowed with steel axle tubes with a maximum O.D. of 3”, maximum thickness of ¼”, no weighted rear ends, and no tube sleeves. Mounts must be non-movable on rear end housing. Must be a 10” ring and pinion. Aluminum spool allowed in quick change.
• Cars with a 9” rear end are allowed to weigh 50lbs less. Cars using the WISSOTA Midwest Modified Concept, Ford 347 Concept, or Dodge concept engine must keep 25lbs in front of the midplate.

WISSOTA Street Stock

• Allow the use of the left front steel chain or tether. Must have slack at ride height.
• Allow the EQ heads P/N EQ-CH350I on the open/regular engine. Maximum compression of 10.5:1. Valve size of 1.94 intake and 1.50 exhaust. Valve stem must be 11/32. No hollow or titanium valves. Minimum valve weight for intake is 103 grams. Minimum valve weight for exhaust is 87 grams. Stock steel valve spring retainers. Stock DIA valve springs only. No beehive/conical valve spring allowed. Stock stamped steel rockers 1.5 ratio.
• Stock OEM roof or replacement composite OEM roof P/N PRPF1015-81W is allowed. No carbon fiber allowed.
• Roof must be centered left to right and square on the car. Vertical measurement from top of door front to rear must match. Left measurement from top of door must match right measurement from top of door.
• Stock OEM hood or replacement steel hood is allowed, but must resemble OEM factory hood for car being used. No composite, aluminum, or carbon fiber hoods are allowed. Steel hoods must be in OEM location, have factory lines and be separate from the fenders.
• Homemade steel body panels are allowed but must have body lines and also must have bend/shape of the stock body. Bodies that appear to have flat sides, wedge shaped, or do not have stock body shape appearance will not be permitted. The bodies overall appearance must resemble the type of car being claimed. Example: If you claim your car is a Monte Carlo than it must look like a Monte Carlo.
• Maximum rear trunk height of 43” measured at center of the back of the car.
• Firewall/Floorpan
• OEM floor may be repaired or replaced with (.049) inch steel but must remain OEM dimensions. Must run from frame rail to frame rail and behind the drivers seat.
• Firewalls must remain OEM and in OEM location. All firewalls must extend out to the frame rails. OEM firewall may be repaired or replaced with (.049) inch steel but must remain OEM dimensions. Fabricated firewall must be flat or straight and maybe moved back no more than 7 inches from the back of the motor. Fabricated firewall must be made of a minimum of (.049) inch steel and must be positioned straight up and down and straight across. Fabricated firewall must be 24”-26” tall measured vertically from the top of the frame rail up.
• Hooker header allowed. P/N 2466HKR or P/N 7543HKR. No stainless, no ceramic, no merge collector, no x pipes, no 2 into 1, and no heat tape. Must have a manufactured muffler (refer to rule 3.3.4) and a turn down on each exhaust pipe. Must have a 3” exhaust pipe and must exit from engine compartment and under the car. Minimum of 18” and maximum of 24” length of exhaust pipe including the muffler, pipe and turn down. Length measurement is measured from the weld on the 3” collector from the factory spec header to the end of the completed exhaust pipe.
• Cars competing with the stock manifolds are allowed to weigh 3150 lbs.

WISSOTA Mod Fours

• Allow the use of the left front steel chain or tether. Must have slack at ride height.
• 39” Maximum rear deck height measured at the center of the back of the car.
• Dual master cylinder allowed on 3 brake cars. Cannot have brake balance bar.

WISSOTA Hornet

• Allow tuning of the ECM
• Allow racing wheels. Wheel size of 13”x7”. Must be same back space. If used must use on both sides. Example: Both rears or both fronts. Must still run DOT tires.
